"Aunty " Genoa Leilani Keawe sings during the closing ceremony at the International Waikiki Hula Conference on Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, Saturday, Dec. 17, 2007. Keawe died Monday morning in her sleep, she was 89 years old. Keawe was one of the last old-time Hawaii singers preforming for over 50 years with her signature soprano voice , for holding long notes and falsetto tone well until her last days singing on Waikiki Beach.
